Warehouse Supervisor

• Responsible for leading the warehouse department in all operational disciplines and ensure operational excellence, high productivity, and customer satisfaction
• Coordinates warehouse activities and facility maintenance under the direction of the Warehouse Manager and Branch and Regional Management
• Responsible to train warehouse personnel to ensure a well-coordinated shipping and receiving plan
• Responsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel
• Directs the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping, receiving, sanitation, maintenance, inventory control
• Responsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing preventive maintenance programs and repairs
• Ensures that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment to perform the distribution functions
• Responsible for warehouse safety programs to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within regulations
• Recommends equipment requirements and replacements to upgrade and maintain warehouse productivity and efficiency
• Responsible for recruitment, hiring, training, performance management, and discipline of direct reports
• Timely reporting and compliance with deadlines
• Researches, identifies, and presents new ideas to improve warehouse operations
• Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies
• Perform other duties as needed/assigned

• 2-3 years of experience in transportation and logistics management, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities
• High School Diploma required
• Must have forklift experience
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of warehouse environment
• Advanced competency in all aspects of business administration
• People management and leadership experience (Recruitment, Selection, Training & Development, Coaching, and Performance Management)
