2nd Shift Operations Assistant

GFL Environmental is hiring a 2nd Shift Operations Assistant to support safe, efficient waste and recycling services. In this on-site role, you'll help coordinate incoming and outgoing materials, support drivers and equipment operators, complete basic inspections, and maintain accurate documentation. You'll follow strict safety and environmental procedures, use handheld or routing systems, and assist with site cleanliness and organization. Responsibilities

• Support 2nd shift waste and recycling operations in a fast-paced, on-site environment
• Assist with coordination of incoming and outgoing materials, loads, and routes
• Follow safety, environmental, and PPE procedures at all times
• Operate or assist with operation of forklifts or equipment as trained and certified
• Complete basic inspections, checks, and documentation for loads and equipment
• Use handheld or routing systems to track loads, tickets, and service information
• Maintain site cleanliness, organization, and safe traffic flow areas
• Communicate with drivers, dispatch, and supervisors to resolve issues
• Accurately record data for regulatory and company reporting
• Participate in ongoing safety and operational training and improvement initiatives
