Cost Accountant Mitchell

Join Sofina Foods as a Cost Accountant, specializing in financial reporting and analytical support for plant operations. Utilize your accounting knowledge to maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with corporate standards. In this role, you will report directly to the Controller, preparing and analyzing production reports in line with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Support the plant management team through variance analysis and maintain accurate inventory levels. Collaborate on departmental initiatives to identify process improvements and engage in product audits.

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly production reports
• Support management with data-driven insights during DDS meetings
• Ensure accuracy in financial reporting and compliance
• Assist in updating cost models based on actual performance
• Conduct product audits for cost verification

• Diploma/degree in accounting or finance
• Minimum 3 years of cost accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP principles
• Solid communication skills across departments
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
