Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for coordinating and performing a variety of accounting and bookkeeping functions. The Accounting Specialist will also assist the Business Manager with overall fiscal operations and special projects.

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Perform general bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare routine fiscal reports and assist with data analysis.
• Support specialty projects, including low-income housing programs, activity logging, and other assigned initiatives.
• Perform clerical and administrative duties related to accounting functions.
• Assist the Business Manager with day-to-day fiscal operations.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accuracy in all financial transactions.

• Associate degree (two-year degree) in accounting and at least two years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general bookkeeping; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using computers and accounting software.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities is helpful.

• Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

• Wage $26hr-$28/hr dependent on education and experience.
