Job DescriptionMitchell Technical College is seeking an Electrical Construction & Maintenance instructor to join the Mitchell Technical College (MTC) Team the Fall 2026 semester. The position is open until filled.
Requirements and Qualifications- A minimum three years’ experience (6,000 hours) in the electrical field.
- Journeyman Electrician preferred.
- Associates Degree preferred.
- Knowledgeable in electrical theory, principles, and conduit bending.
- Ability to instruct on the NEC.
- Pass a state and federal criminal background check.
- Passion for training with a high level of integrity, honesty, and professionalism.
- Communicate effectively, master change, work in groups, and have strong customer orientation.
- Preference will be given to applicants who have related industry experience, teaching experience, evidence of teaching skills, and experience working with diverse populations.
- Excellent time management, organizational skills, and attention to detail are a plus.
- Teaching assigned courses; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory settings; developing and updating curriculum; and assisting with recruiting and advising students.
- Leadership in both academic and workforce areas to fulfill the educational goals and objectives of the Electrical Construction & Maintenance program and MTC.
