Job DescriptionMITCHELL School District / MCTEA is seeking a full‑time instructor to teach Automotive (high school level). Candidates must have a minimum of three years’ work experience in the automotive field and hold ASE certifications in G1, A4, A5, and A6. They should also have experience with a variety of automotive repairs and service.
Instructors are responsible for developing lesson plans and teaching all courses as assigned; assessing student progress in classroom and laboratory; developing and updating curriculum; and using computers/software.
Applicants should possess strong writing and technical skills, the ability to communicate effectively, mastery of change, teamwork skills, and a strong customer orientation.
Must be eligible to meet South Dakota post‑secondary instructor certification requirements. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree preferred. K‑12 instructional experience preferred but not required.
