Adjunct Sociology Instructor

Mitchell Technical College is seeking a qualified Adjunct Sociology Instructor to join our General Education team for the Fall 2026 semester. This position is open until filled.

Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Sociology, or a Master's degree in a related discipline with a minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in Sociology.
  • Ability to successfully pass a state and federal criminal background check.
Preferred Skills & Experience
  • Prior post-secondary teaching experience is preferred, though individuals with a strong academic background and an aptitude for teaching will be considered.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, adapt readily to instructional changes, and collaborate well within a departmental team.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, deliver course instruction, and accurately assess student progress.
  • Assist in fulfilling the educational goals, curriculum objectives, and core mission of the General Education department and Mitchell Technical College.
