Adjunct Faculty – General Math Education
General Math Education – Teach undergraduate general education math courses in-person at the Union campus. Courses include Basic Algebra. Experience in student-centered teaching methodologies such as small group instruction, flipped classroom design, cooperative inquiry, and project-based learning is encouraged.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience. Candidates with ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate are encouraged. Proficiency in a Learning Management System is required.
Responsibilities: Provide at least one hour of availability outside of the classroom per week for each 3-4 credit class; provide at least 30 minutes for each additional class. Students may have additional office hours as needed. Use Learning Management System for course administration.
Compensation: Effective September 2025: $2,100 per credit. Effective September 2026: $2,225 per credit. Beginning in the 13th semester taught: additional $75 per credit.
Benefits: Enrollment in a state-administered retirement plan when eligible. Possible enrollment in the Part-Time State Health Benefits Program for medical and prescription drug coverage.
