Construction Scheduler develops and maintains project timelines by coordinating resources, materials, and tasks using specialized software like Primavera or Microsoft Project. Key responsibilities include creating detailed schedules, monitoring progress, identifying risks, identifying and managing delays, coordinating with stakeholders, and performing resource allocation to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills are essential for the role.
Position Responsibilities:- Schedule Creation & Management:
Develop, update, and manage detailed project schedules from start to finish, using techniques like the Critical Path Method. - Resource Allocation:
Coordinate the efficient allocation and timing of labor, equipment, and materials to avoid delays and bottlenecks. - Risk & Delay Management:
Proactively identify potential risks, analyze schedule impacts, and develop mitigation plans for issues like weather delays, design changes, and material shortages. - Progress Monitoring & Reporting:
Track project progress against the schedule, analyze performance, and provide regular updates and reports to project management and stakeholders. - Coordination & Communication:
Serve as a central point of communication, coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure alignment and smooth workflow. - Change Management:
Manage and incorporate changes, such as change orders, into the project schedule to maintain accuracy and control.
- Project Management Software Proficiency:
Expertise in industry‑standard scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project. - Construction Knowledge: A deep understanding of construction processes, work activity sequences, and dependencies.

Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse project teams. - Analytical & Problem‑Solving

The ability to perform complex schedule analyses, evaluate delays, and find solutions to complex problems. - Organizational

Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in schedules, reports, and analysis.
Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree (A.
A) with 2 or more years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
