Custodian Position

Mitchell Technical College is seeking a custodian. This is a part-time position with a start date based on the availability of the successful candidate.

Preferred skills and qualifications:

• Attention to detail – ensures thorough cleaning and maintenance.
• Time management – able to complete tasks efficiently during evening hours.
• Basic maintenance skills – minor repairs, changing light bulbs, unclogging drains, etc.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment and chemicals – safe and effective use of vacuums, scrubbers, disinfectants, etc.
• Physical stamina – capable of lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Communication skills – able to report issues and follow instructions clearly.
• Reliability and punctuality – consistent attendance and dependability.

Successful candidate must also pass a state and federal criminal background check.

Position would typically be 25-30 hours per week, with occasional up to 40 hours based on need. Regular hours for this position are daytime business hours. Candidates should be able to work a flexible schedule, when necessary, to support facility operations and team needs.
