GLUER OPERATOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Location:

Mitchell, SD
Wage: $22.22/HR + SHIFT PREMIUM
12 HOUR NIGHT SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $1.50
2ND SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $1.50
3RD SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL: $1.50

Medical benefits effective first day of the month on or after date of hire. JOB SUMMARY

Operates and holds overall responsibility for product outcomes associated with straight-line gluers.

JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Operates and holds overall responsibility for product outcomes associated with straight-line gluers, promotional gluers, and related peripheral converting equipment.
  • Interprets and documents standards related to equipment and product performance/quality.
  • Maintains equipment.
  • Leader of assigned crew members.
  • Supervision for position is random and minimal.
  • Performs equipment operations, adjustments, tests, and conversions of all primary/peripheral equipment associated with converting operations.
  • Motivates crew members to ensure quality, efficiency, area cleanliness, safety and SQF standards are maintained.
  • Tests and inspects products to ensure consistent quality and operational standards.
  • Verifies and communicates both product standards and work standards to execute production.
  • Maintains equipment by performing minor maintenance, troubleshooting, calibrations, adjustments, repairs, and authorized modifications.
  • Performs other organizational duties as required.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to work 12‑hour shifts (6:00 to 6:00).
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to work mandatory overtime as required.
  • 3‑2‑2 schedule (rotating days of the week).
  • Must be willing and able to work overtime.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

Manufacturing experience preferred.
