Soybean Product and Production Manager
Job Responsibilities:
The Soybean Product and Production Manager oversees the entire lifecycle of soybean production, managing the supply and quality of Legend Seeds soybeans. The position will work with the Legend agronomy team, sales team, growers and soybean processors to get finished inventory ready for distribution.
- Collaborate with the agronomy team on the product selection.
- Build a cohesive and collaborative relationship with support teams assist with projects as business needs requires.
- Create a soybean production plan based off the sales team forecast for soybeans.
- Work with soybean production growers in all aspects from planting to harvest.
- Ensure compliance with Legend Seeds and seed stock supplier requirements.
- Work with genetic providers to select and source new varieties.
- Update and communicate soybean sample protocols, collection, and submission for quality assurance.
- Develop contracts and timelines with soybean processors to make sure the seed is conditioned and packaged timely.
- Reconcile year end settlements for growers and processors.
- Develop and train and verify compliance on packaging and labeling.
- Work with growers and dealers on yearend soybean dump.
- Manage costs by pricing soybeans and negotiating soybean contracts.

The Legend Seeds Soybean Production Manager will support the Product Manager and work as a team member that strives for safety, product quality, and process optimization. As the Soybean Production Manager, you will work with new and established growers to grow Legend Seeds soybean seed stock for the next sales year. Once soybeans are harvested you are responsible for making sure soybean processors have the seed conditioned timely for our Dealers.
Tracking and managing inventory and supply will be a key part of this role. - Bachelor’s degree in business management or an Agriculture related field or equivalent experience managing crop production.
- Strong computer and communication skills.
