- Friday during the day. Our Team Lead roles work alongside a physician, with set days of the week. We will consider an LPN or RN for this role. Pay is commensurate with experience per RN or LPN designation within our established pay ranges.
- Strong problem‑solving abilities in complex situations.
- Ability to work within budget and productivity targets to meet organizational objectives.
- Participate in staff selection, evaluation, orientation, education, development, competency assessment, and scheduling based on patient acuity.
- Partner with the Manager/Clinical Leader to ensure staff knowledge, skills, and behaviors align with unit goals.
- Build and maintain outstanding physician relationships and patient‑focused care with a commitment to quality, safety, and customer service.
- Accountable for patient satisfaction action plans, achieving Press‑Ganey and HCAHPS targets.
- Support process improvement in operations, quality, and organizational change initiatives.
- Maintain knowledge of accreditation and certification requirements and standards.
- Communicate effectively and persuasively with individuals and groups, demonstrating compassion, creativity, and visibility.
- Participate in hospital and department committees.
- Mentor staff and colleagues, exhibiting highly professional behavior and accountability.
- Serve as a role model and coach for Critical Moments of Service Standards and service recovery.
- Engage in department or unit performance improvement activities, including shared governance.
- Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately.
- Support the professional nurse continuum and Nursing Clinical Ladder for RNs (CARE).
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited nursing program. BSN or upon hire BSN completion agreement for enrollment in an accredited BSN Completion Program. If hired prior to 1‑1‑14 in Winnebago County and prior to 9‑1‑15 in Rock, Walworth and McHenry Counties an ADN only is required. Must have a minimum of 3 to 4 years of progressively responsible hospital nursing experience. Certification in specialty preferred.
RNCertification / Licensure
Licensed as an RN in the state of practice. Approved CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days (other certifications per unit requirements: ACLS, PALS, NALS).

- Strong verbal communication skills and ability to interpret concerns.
- Intermediate computer knowledge and basic mathematics (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagrammatic form.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees.
- May need to pass a color‑blindness test per department guidelines.
- Perform duties of an LPN.
- Revise, develop, and implement policies and procedures, ensuring compliance.
- Interview, supervise, and evaluate personnel of assigned units.
- Schedule unit personnel to assure efficient patient flow.
- Participate in planning and promoting public relations.
- Work alternate shifts and overtime as required.
- Manage departmentalized budgets involving staff and materials.
- Participate in planning and implementing PIs and quality initiatives.
Education and Experience
Graduate of an accredited LPN program. Wisconsin: completed portion of RN program needed for a certificate of completion in practical nursing. Illinois: completed designated curriculum of a Ladder Option Approved Designated RN Program. Three years of LPN experience in a clinical setting, preferably with supervisory experience.
LPN Certification / LicensureValid Wisconsin license and CPR certification required.
