Registered Nurse Manager; RN | Med Surg

Role Overview: Responsible for managing daily operations and long-term planning of a patient care unit, including staff development, policy implementation, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Collaborates with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and oversees staffing, budgeting, and clinical practices.

• Lead and direct unit operations, ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain standards of care, staff orientation, education, and professional development.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling, and resource allocation in collaboration with leadership.
• Stay current with clinical practices, regulations, and reimbursement policies.
• Assist in budget preparation, monitor financial performance, and meet fiscal objectives.
• Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and safety measures.
• Handle patient and customer relations, including complaint resolution and risk management.
• Hire, train, evaluate, and retain staff, fostering a positive work environment.

• Active RN license in the practice state.
• NRP and PALS certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 1-3 years of leadership experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and leadership skills.
• Ability to perform job duties with visual acuity and effective communication.
