Role Overview:

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing dialysis, including maintenance and home dialysis training. Collaborates with healthcare teams, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and documents patient care accurately. Acts as a patient advocate, educates patients and families on dialysis procedures, and promotes quality improvement initiatives.

Role Overview :

Provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing dialysis, including maintenance and home dialysis training. Collaborates with healthcare teams, ensures compliance with safety and regulatory standards, and documents patient care accurately. Acts as a patient advocate, educates patients and families on dialysis procedures, and promotes quality improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performs dialysis treatments and maintains technical proficiency.
  • Oversees and delegates tasks to staff as appropriate.
  • Ensures proper operation of water room equipment and compliance with policies.
  • Documents care in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinates patient care with multidisciplinary teams and advocates for patients and families.
  • Develops and implements educational plans for patient self-care and disease management.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Active RN license in the practice state.
  • Experience in dialysis or critical care preferred, with additional certification in dialysis (e.g., CHN, CPDN, CDN) advantageous.
  • Effective communication, ability to perform technical skills, and maintain confidentiality.
