Role SummaryCares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.
Responsibilities- Perform a pre-operative patient assessment.
- Determine a plan of care and communicate it to patient and family.
- Establish and maintain essential venous access.
- Ensure establishment and maintenance of airway.
- Induct, maintain anesthesia, and monitor patients.
- Complete anesthesia and manage emergence from anesthesia.
- Transfer care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
- Perform post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
- Serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.
The individual must be able to work the specified hours and perform each essential job function satisfactorily, including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds. RequiredEducation, License/Certification, or Work Experience
- Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) upon hire.
