Position Overview

Work Shift:

Primarily days with night, weekend and holiday on-call involvement (United States of America).

Avera Queen of Peace Hospital.

Cares for patients at all acuity levels across the lifespan in a variety of settings for procedures including, but not limited to, surgical, obstetrical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and pain management.

• Perform a pre-operative patient assessment.
• Determine a plan of care and communicate it to patient and family.
• Establish and maintain essential venous access.
• Ensure establishment and maintenance of airway.
• Induct, maintain anesthesia, and monitor patients.
• Complete anesthesia and manage emergence from anesthesia.
• Transfer care to appropriate staff at termination of procedure.
• Perform post-operative follow-up for each case performed.
• Serve as a clinical instructor for anesthesia students.

• Certified Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
• Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
• Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – National Board of Certification and Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) upon hire.
