Automotive Service Technician – Mitchell, SD

Vern Eide GM is looking for a Reconditioning Service Technician. The position is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8 am-5 pm. Overtime may be available but is not required. Starting pay is $20-24 an hour, with potential to move to a flat rate. You will work in a climate‑controlled facility with new hoists and benches. Full benefits package is offered.

• Recondition incoming trade vehicles by performing inspections, changing oil/fluids/filters/wiper blades, and performing any basic repairs needed upon first look.
• Perform light mechanical work such as brakes, tires, alignments, battery installs, fuel pumps, axle seals, oil cooler lines, and other similar repairs.
• Perform light diagnostic work as required.

• Previous technician experience.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a safe driving record and be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
• Possess a can‑do attitude and be a positive team player.
• Willing to learn and grow.
