Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health

The Registered Nurse - Behavioral Health provides specialized nursing care to patients with behavioral and mental health conditions. This role involves monitoring patient behavior and mental status, administering prescribed medications and treatments, and supporting patients through therapeutic activities and crisis intervention. The nurse collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient recovery, safety, and individualized care.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients with behavioral and mental health challenges.
• Monitor and assess patient behavior and mental status, reporting changes to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Guide patients through coping strategies, therapeutic activities, and crisis intervention.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate patient recovery and safety.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Licensure:
  Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2 year in a behavioral health or related healthcare setting.
• Certifications:
  
  Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Health Requirements:
  Must have COVID-19 vaccination.

• Prior experience in psychiatric or behavioral health units.
• Training in crisis intervention or de-escalation techniques.

• BLS (Required).
• ACLS (Required).
• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification preferred.
