Senior Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse (RN) Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Shift: Nights, 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Behavioral Health Unit Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive behavioral health evaluations for assigned patients, plan, implement, and document nursing care, and assist physicians during examinations and procedures. The RN will also promote patient independence by establishing care goals and educating patients and families on conditions, medications, and self‑care skills.

• Perform behavioral health evaluations of assigned patients.
• Plan, implement, and document nursing care effectively.
• Assist nursing peers and physicians as needed during procedures.
• Conduct various patient tests and administer medications within the RN scope of practice.
• Educate patients and families regarding conditions and care plans.

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Senior Behavioral Health setting.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• De‑escalation training (SAMA or CPI) is required.
• Experience in a geriatric psychiatric unit is required.
• Recent acute care hospital experience within the last year is required.
