Clark Personnel is seeking a skilled Accountant to join a dynamic municipal finance team. This is a high-impact role ideal for professionals who thrive in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy driving financial accuracy, compliance, and strategic reporting.

• Key leadership role supporting financial operations and reporting

• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
• Must be able to oversee accounting staff as needed
• Maintain and enhance financial information systems
• Review journal entries and financial data for accuracy and compliance
• Manage budget tracking, cost allocation, and performance reporting
• Oversee debt service records and bond registers
• Assist with cash management and investment tracking
• Support and guide accounting staff as assigned
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, audits, and internal controls

• Experience in municipal or governmental accounting preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, reporting, and auditing practices
• Experience with automated accounting systems and financial software
• Ability to analyze complex financial data and present clear insights
• Knowledge of budget forecasting and government accounting (preferred)
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities
• Understanding of confidentiality, compliance, and HIPAA standards
