Assistant Director of Accounting
The Assistant Director of Accounting supports the overall financial operations of the hospital by overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accurate financial reporting. This role assists in managing the integrity of financial data in alignment with healthcare regulations and accreditation requirements set by The Joint Commission. The Assistant Director plays a key role in supporting internal controls, audit readiness, and the financial health of the organization.
Pre-Employment Requirements:
- We are a drug free facility. Passing a pre-employment drug screening is required.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare or hospital setting.
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with healthcare financial systems and reimbursement processes preferred.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
