Full Charge Bookkeeper

Fit Recruiting is partnering with a well-established company in the aviation industry to identify a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join its growing accounting team in Mobile, Alabama.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and taking ownership of the day-to-day accounting functions. The new hire will partner with another accounting professional to support multiple companies and ensure accurate financial reporting. Salary ranges from $50K-$75K, depending on experience, plus insurance.

Duties:

• Maintain the general ledger and record daily financial transactions
• Process accounts payable and manage invoice entry in Quick Books
• Code and reconcile credit card transactions
• Handle intercompany billings and payments
• Process payroll and ensure payroll tax compliance
• Prepare payroll tax and excise tax filings
• Reconcile bank accounts and review financial statements for accuracy

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper, in public accounting, or a similar accounting role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP
• Experience with Quick Books and Microsoft Excel
• Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
• Accounting degree preferred but not required
