Position: Legal Secretary
Location: Mobile, AL
Pay: $22/hour
Experience: Executive administrative assistant or legal admin experience preferred.
Type: Full-time;
Contract
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
Clark Personnel is seeking a Legal Secretary to join a growing and dynamic team!
Job Description- Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents, correspondence, pleadings, motions, and discovery materials.
- Maintain attorney calendars, schedule meetings, court appearances, depositions, and client appointments.
- File legal documents with state and federal courts, both electronically and in person.
- Open, organize, and maintain client files and case records.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, court personnel, and vendors.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail, emails, and telephone calls.
- Assist with document collection, case preparation, and trial support.
- Coordinate deadlines and ensure timely completion of legal filings.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive legal and client information.
- Perform general office and administrative duties as assigned.
- Legal document preparation & formatting
- Proofreading and editing (legal writing accuracy)
- Knowledge of legal terminology & procedures (pleadings, motions, discovery)
- Case and file management systems
- Calendar management & scheduling tools
- Court filing (e-filing + in-person filing)
