Fit Recruiting is partnering with a well-established, mission-driven organization in Mobile, AL, to find a Church Operations & Communications Administrator.
This is a full-time Monday-Friday opportunity for someone who is organized, warm, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator. This person will play a key role in keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly while coordinating communications, scheduling, database management, and administrative support. Salary ranges from $55K - $65K depending.
Requirements:
- College degree or equivalent professional experience in office administration, project management, or organizational communications
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel
- Familiarity with database management systems, email marketing platforms, and content management tools
- Warm, professional, and service-oriented communication style
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Church or nonprofit experience is a plus
Duties:
- Manage day-to-day office operations and maintain a welcoming, organized environment
- Provide administrative and clerical support to staff and leadership
- Coordinate and supervise office volunteers and front-office coverage
- Maintain the organization’s database and ensure records are accurate and up to date
- Assist with scheduling, correspondence, meeting materials, and record keeping
- Maintain a master communications calendar and coordinate organization-wide messaging
- Gather announcements, event information, photos, and updates from staff and committees
- Prepare and distribute digital newsletters, emails, and weekly materials using existing templates
- Keep the website updated with events, calendar changes, and other content
- Coordinate social media scheduling and route messages or comments to the appropriate staff member
- Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and coordinate with outside IT support
