Job Summary

Provides administrative support to the production department. Releases and distributes orders for assigned department. Performs daily production reporting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinates execution of department production schedule
  • Gathers and reviews data from manufacturing and support organizations, coordinates with capacity and material analysis to resolve material and capacity discrepancies that affect the schedule
  • Translates anticipated demand into production and purchase orders for internal and external suppliers
  • Attends production and planning meetings
  • Works closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, Production, Quality Assurance, Engineering and Shipping Departments to ensure products are produced and shipped per schedule
  • Processes change notices
  • Monitors daily attendance
  • Facilitates orientation for new hires
  • Cross trains team members on processes and assists with production as needed
  • Create purchase requisitions for department supplies as required using purchasing system
  • Performs safety inspections
  • Other duties may be assigned
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Basic computer literacy including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and AS400.
Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience:

2+ years in comparable roles.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
None specified.

Computer

Skills:

PC proficiency essential, Microsoft Office, MRP systems (AS400 preferred).

Mathematical Abilities:
Use MS Excel to analyze data and present in a meaningful manner.

Analytical or Reasoning Abilities:
Effective leadership, administration, analytical, and communication skills (written and oral).

Communication

Skills:

Spanish language a plus. Effective verbal and electronic communication with proper etiquette.

Other

Skills:

Organizational and time management skills required, ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously in a fast‑paced and complex environment, team orientation, flexibility, adaptability, and plan & organize to meet deadlines.
