Responsibilities
- Assists with the production and maintenance of the monthly Performance Reports under supervision to monitor progress in accordance with Earned Value Management Standards.
- Performs data entry and basic maintenance of weekly Empower data to monitor internal labor progress according to Earned Value Management Standards.
- Supports the generation and maintenance of all required documents for a project:
Work Authorization Documents (WADs), Responsibility Assignment Matrix (RAM), and Control Account Plan (CAP). - Keeps current all required EVMS logs and tracking files, including Contract Budget Baseline Log (CBBL), Baseline Adjustment Request (BAR) Log, and Undistributed Budget (UB) Log.
- Assists with preparing pricing information for Baseline Adjustment Requests (BARs) under the direction of senior staff.
- Supports the review and validation of weekly and monthly EVMS and performance data by gathering inputs and identifying discrepancies for further analysis; escalates anomalies in performance data to senior analysts for resolution.
- Supports any required formal reviews or meetings with government EVMS representatives (e.g., Integrated Baseline Review, Production Readiness Review, Joint Surveillance Audit).
- Participates in monthly progress review meetings and assists in the generation of reports that support the EVMS program.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 0–2 years of related professional experience.
- Familiarity with Earned Value Management System (EVMS) concepts preferred; demonstrated willingness and ability to learn EVM tools, reports, and processes.
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment; ability to apply logical and analytical thinking and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills, particularly questioning and listening, to facilitate teamwork with various departments and ensure customer satisfaction with internal customers.
- Ability to analyze data and communicate analyses to CAMs and/or management.
- Experience in a DOD environment and/or shipbuilding industry is a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Works under general supervision and receives detailed instructions for routine tasks.
- Candidates must meet employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA: 18 years or older, able to provide proof of US Person Status.
- No felony convictions within specified time frames; willing to submit to drug screen and background check.
