Overview
Airbus Americas, Inc is seeking a Procurement Project Manager (Contract Position) in Mobile, AL. The role supports Airbus projects and operations across North America within the Airbus Americas Strategic Procurement team, reporting to the Director, Flying Parts Procurement. The Procurement Project Manager coordinates procurement and project management activities in support of FAL ramp-up initiatives, the Mobile industrial ecosystem, and key transformation programs.
Responsibilities- Lead the Procurement workstream within cross-functional projects, driving regional and global coordination between Flying Procurement organizations and other business functions.
- Coordinate procurement and project management activities; interface with stakeholders locally and globally; manage project interdependencies across the full lifecycle.
- Propose, develop and apply programme/product strategy toward customers.
- Escalate issues requiring Senior Management input to maintain project progress.
- Ensure programme/project targets (quality, delivery, financial objectives) are met.
- Design and implement progress reports using Airbus reporting tools; deliver all projects successfully.
- Support the Strategic Procurement Director in Mobile to drive compliance with Airbus processes through communication with internal customers.
- Support the Regional Procurement Manager in Mobile to drive change management and resolve procurement process blockages.
- Organize and run compliance and best practices awareness to procurement and internal customer communities.
- Support resolution of procurement tools blockages (e.g., SAP, Ariba, Coupa, Oracle).
- Support local tools deployment.
- A Bachelor s Degree in Business Administration (MS preferred) or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- PMP certification
- 5-7 years’ experience in project management or related function
- Knowledge of Risk Management, Business Case Analysis, and TCO Approach
- Procurement process knowledge;
Project Management; ability to work in cross-functional, distributed matrix organizations - Fluency in English; knowledge of French, German and/or Spanish is a plus
- Strong ethics and compliance
- Ability to understand and propose solutions for medium diversity and complexity; mobilize knowledge and processes
- Ability to influence and support positive behavior change in a multinational company
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with senior executives
- Proven leadership and teamwork in a complex matrix organization

- Advanced knowledge of Qlik Sense, Tableau, Leaner Business Improvement Projects (LBIP+)
- Expert user of Google Suite Tools
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems including SAP, Coupa and related transactional systems
- Onsite: 100%
- Vision, hearing, speaking requirements for daily operations
- Ability to operate office equipment and some production tools; lift/carry up to 30 lbs
- Sit/stand as needed; travel monthly
- Eligible for employment in the US without sponsorship
