Construction Site Supervisor

Southern Land Development, LLC is a licensed and insured contractor located in Semmes, Alabama.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Use strong leadership skills to effectively manage, train, mentor and coach direct reports to meet goals and expectations.
• Create and demonstrate a culture of teamwork.
• Responsible for compliance.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients and business associates.
• Partner with project managers to provide technical advice and to resolve problems.
• Supervise activities of in‑house construction staff to ensure timely completion of projects and that they remain within the budget.

• Computer proficiency.
• Knowledge and understanding of manual drawings, blueprints, and building materials.
• Valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and blueprints.
• Knowledge of specifications, plans, and project estimates.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and courteously with clients, vendors, the general public, and employees.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal direction and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Ability to complete construction projects under scheduled deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• High school degree or associate’s degree or equivalent.
• Strong leadership experience.
• Minimum five years of commercial construction experience as a site supervisor or equivalent position.
