The Assistant Manager in our Civil Division will lead civil crews to deliver precise industrial foundations, site work, and structural concrete to support heavy industrial operations. The Assistant Manager will work out of our South Central Alabama office in Flomaton, AL. Some travel is required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and support civil construction crews in the execution of industrial foundations, site preparation, and structural concrete work.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating daily field operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved.
  • Perform construction plan take‑offs and support estimating efforts for labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Review engineering drawings, project specifications, and technical documents to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
  • Assist in project scheduling, resource planning, and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
  • Monitor field progress and provide timely reporting to project managers and senior leadership.
  • Support continuous improvement in field processes, equipment utilization, and crew performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, industry standards, and company policies.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
  • Travel as needed to project sites within the region.
Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of field Management Experience in civil, industrial, or heavy construction
  • Experience with plan take-offs and construction estimating
  • Strong understanding of industrial foundations, concrete work, and site development
  • Ability to read and analyze technical drawings and engineering specifications
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate field crews
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record
  • Civil Engineering degree preferred
