Job Description

Full-time or part-time (PT is less than 30 hrs. per week): Full-time
FLSA Status (exempt or non-exempt): Exempt
Salaried or Hourly: Salaried
Reports to: Associate VP for Creative Services
Work Schedule: M-Th 7:30 am – 5:30 pm, flexible hours as needed including Fridays and evenings for specific events
Position Qualifications (Educational credentials, skills and abilities)- Christian who is an active member in local church.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Digital Media, Visual Communications, Marketing, Fine Arts or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of professional design experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in digital design, website development and visual storytelling
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and related design software, as well as Word Press platform
- Experience designing for digital platforms including websites, social media, email marketing and digital advertising
- Understanding of typography, layout, color theory and current design trends
- Working knowledge of web design principles and user experience best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational and project management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, creative environment while managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining brand standards
- Demonstrates the Imago Dei of Christ (Gen 1:26) in all aspects of one’s professional role, personal interactions and community relations
- Creates compelling visual content that supports the University of Mobile’s mission, brand and strategic goals
- Designs digital assets for social media, websites, email campaigns, digital advertising, presentations and other marketing initiatives
- Collaborates with writers, photographers, videographers and marketing team members to develop integrated marketing campaigns
- Maintains consistency across all university branding and visual communications
- Assists in the development and execution of creative concepts for recruitment, advancement, student life, athletics, academic programs and special events
- Designs graphics, infographics, motion graphics and other visual elements that engage target audiences
- Supports website updates and digital content needs in collaboration with the university’s web and communications team
- Prepares production-ready files and ensures quality control across all digital deliverables
- Participates in creative brainstorming sessions and contributes innovative ideas that advance the university’s marketing efforts
- Manages multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards
- Stays current on design trends, emerging technologies and best practices in digital marketing and visual communications
- Assumes additional responsibilities as defined by the Associate Vice President for Creative Services & Vice President for Marketing & Communications
