ResponsibilitiesUSA Health is seeking a board certified invasive, interventional cardiologist to join a collaborative group of academic cardiologists. The division includes an established cardiovascular disease fellowship training program, an ICAEL accredited Echo lab and an ICANL accredited Nuclear Lab, and the region's only Level I Trauma Center. Cardiac invasive and interventional services and a comprehensive cardiac surgery program are available. Commitment to clinical service and teaching duties are the highlights of this position.
Research opportunities and faculty mentoring are also available.
Expectations include:
- Cath lab: performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, head-up tilt table testing, and device implantations as applicable per qualifications
- Outpatient Cardiology Clinic: covering a wide patient referral base.
- Inpatient and consult services
- Interdisciplinary teams: working collaboratively with other providers, trainees, and ancillary staff on quality initiatives, including the cardiothoracic surgery Heart Team quality improvement project
Required Skills: Board Certified in Cardiology, BC/BE in interventional Cardiology, ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Alabama
Preferred
Skills:
Peripheral diagnostic and interventional skills, peripheral vascular ultrasound imaging experience, Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology
Graduation from an accredited medical school, licensure with the State of Alabama board, certified in clinical area, and DEA registration. USA Hospital staff privileges eligible.
