Cooperative Education Student; Mobile)(Part-Time

Program Overview

This is a cooperative work and educational program in which a full-time student is either attending school one term and working full-time the next, or both attending school and working part-time on a year‑round basis.

Note:

This posting is for a part‑time position with the City of Mobile and requires current enrollment as a full‑time student in an Engineering program.

• Completion of a minimum of one year’s coursework at a recognized college or university with a C or better grade point average.

• Must be currently enrolled as a full‑time student in a curriculum appropriate to the appointment.
• Must provide a copy of the latest transcript after completion of each academic term.
• Must maintain at least a C average.
• Must provide a registration form showing the schedule of the upcoming term.

All selected applicants must meet the established medical and physical standards for the class of work. The medical examination must be conducted by one of the physicians designated by the Personnel Board. Appointees must bear the cost of the examination.
