Jackson County Board of Education announces the following vacancy for an EL Teacher located initially at Stevenson Elementary School within the County-wide worksite. Applications should be submitted through the Hire True Website and will be accepted until the positions are filled.
Responsibilities- Establish objectives and plan learning experiences based on individual and class needs.
- Implement activities using various techniques that utilize instructional time to meet objectives.
- Establish and maintain standards of student behavior to achieve an atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Exhibit positive human relations skills.
- Evaluate the educational program and/or student progress.
- Communicate with parents/guardians, colleagues, and community groups.
- Demonstrate proficiency in written and oral communication.
- Maintain and submit required records and reports.
- Adhere to school system rules, administrative procedures, local board policy, and federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Plan and accomplish personal professional growth and demonstrate professional ethics and leadership.
- All teachers will model the student dress code by example.
- Grades/Attendance/Lesson plans updated in a timely manner.
- Any and other essential functions assigned by the Superintendent or his/her designee.
B.S. degree with proper State of Alabama Certification.
