Make a real difference in K-12 students' lives through a rewarding school psychology opportunity in the heart of coastal Alabama. This contract position seeks dedicated, on-site professionals ready to provide psychological assessments, interventions, and consultation services in diverse educational environments. With opportunities at both a traditional elementary school and an itinerant private school setting, your expertise can directly impact student success and well-being.

On-site only interviews will be held April 27, 2026. The assignment begins August 10, 2026, and runs through May 26, 2027, with a strong likelihood of renewal based on performance.

Ideal Qualifications and Experience:
  • Active Alabama School Psychologist license required
  • Experience with K-12 student populations across a variety of needs
  • Familiarity with assessment tools, IEP development, and best practices in educational psychology
  • Excellent communication skills for diverse teams and families
  • Willingness to travel locally; position may require itinerant travel between school sites
  • Strong organizational skills to manage cases across multiple locations if needed
  • Comfort with both public and private school environments
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct psycho educational assessments for students in kindergarten through grade 12
  • Collaborate with educators, families, and other professionals to support student learning
  • Deliver counseling and consultation services as needed
  • Contribute to the development of effective educational and behavioral interventions
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all local and state regulations
  • Adapt to flexible assignments across various campuses as determined by district needs
