Salary: $65,000.00 to $72,000.00 based on ACCS Board of Trustees Salary Schedule C-3 and experience.
The Allied Health Services Program Specialist coordinates and manages the admissions, advising, and student support processes for students applying to and enrolled in the College’s Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Radiologic Technology programs. This position supports students throughout the application, enrollment and intake advising, ensuring effective communication and adherence to institutional policies and confidentiality standards.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and organize the application and admission processes for students in the College’s nursing, respiratory therapy, and radiologic technology programs.
- Accurately calculate application GPAs following individual program requirements.
- Review and verify each program's admission requirements and calculation criteria for each applicant.
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets ranking applicants for each program based on established criteria.
- Collaborate with the College Admissions Office to ensure the timely receipt and processing of transcripts and student records.
- Communicate professionally with both selected and non-selected applicants.
- Provide advising support to prospective and current allied health students regarding program requirements, prerequisites, registration, academic progression, and college resources.
- Assist students with course planning to support successful progression through allied health pathways.
- Monitor student progress and communicate with students regarding deadlines, academic standing, and program expectations.
- Refer students to appropriate campus resources including financial aid, tutoring, ADA accommodations, counseling, and student support services as needed.
- Support student retention efforts through proactive communication and follow-up with students experiencing academic or enrollment concerns.
- Perform advanced clerical duties including creating and maintaining databases related to applications, advising, and admissions.
- Prepare accurate reports for each health program as needed.
- Organize and maintain program files per institutional and program standards.
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students through verbal and written communication.
- Host information sessions in coordination with health program faculty, as needed.
- Travel to locations within the College’s four-county service area as needed to support recruiting, advising, and outreach activities.
- Fulfill other duties related to the work described herein.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Three or more years of full-time employment experience in a college setting required.
- Experience with Banner preferred.
- Previous work experience with college allied health services programs preferred.
All male applicants between the ages of 18-26 must provide proof of Selective Service Registration.
A criminal background check will be required, and employment contingent upon clearance.
