Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter (national or state-level)
  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
  • Prior experience in a school setting preferred
  • Ability to support students K-12 with a variety of communication needs
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate effective communication between students, educators, and staff through ASL interpretation
  • Interpret classroom instruction, activities, meetings, and school events
  • Support academic and social inclusion of deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical standards at all times
