Job Description

Airbus US Manufacturing Facility seeks a Flight line A&P Mechanic to join our A320 team based in Mobile, AL
. This is a 2nd shift position with a work schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm, with flexibility to shift based on company needs.

The Flight line Mechanic is responsible for performing functional test procedures, pre‑ and post‑flight inspections to prepare built aircraft for test flight and delivery readiness. Duties include troubleshooting, repairing, and inspecting aircraft systems using approved aircraft data.

Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot malfunctions, rigs, repairs, and replacement of aircraft structures, components, and systems of moderate difficulty.
  • Maintain and rework aircraft components including landing gear, flight surfaces, controls, anti‑icing, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and ventilation.
  • Servicing and repair cabin interior components.
  • Prepare documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform day‑to‑day aircraft maintenance.
  • Experience with refuel/defuel, aircraft jack, and tow.
Qualifications
  • 3 years minimum aviation experience, preferably in aviation manufacturing or MRO environment.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant License.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Willingness to work rotation shift schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to obtain a valid passport allowing unrestricted travel to Canada.
  • High‑school diploma or equivalent.
  • Vocational or technical school credential.
Physical Requirements
  • Vision: able to see and utilize computer screens; able to move through office and from point to point to find specific coworkers and in‑house experts.
  • Hearing: able to hear in normal conversations and respond to warnings and signals.
  • Speaking: able to participate in normal business conversations.
  • Equipment operation:
    Able to operate standard office equipment, ground support equipment, and man lifts.
  • Carrying:
    Able to carry up to 40 lb / 18 kg.
  • Lifting:
    Able to lift up to 40 lb / 18 kg on occasion.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push/pull up to 500 lb on wheels.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to occasionally squat/kneel.
  • Standing: able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Travel: able to travel nationally and/or internationally for training purposes and off‑site aircraft recovery.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, sometimes on uneven surfaces.
  • Climate: able to work in various weather conditions.
Citizenship
  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without current or future need for visa sponsorship.
