Airbus – Quality Assurance & Measurement Systems Engineer (FAL – USA)

• Define, measure, and manage quality requirements for A320 Family aircraft assembly jigs, tools, and measurement systems at the Final Assembly Line (FAL) – USA.
• Define QA requirements in technical specifications for Airbus jigs, tools and measurement systems.
• Coordinate and lead QA measures with suppliers, monitor implementation.
• Participate in supplier evaluation, pre‑development production concepts, define testing characteristics, and verify new production and control means.
• Conduct all relevant QA activities: verification and validation, measurement system analysis, inspection plans.
• Conduct product testing across manufacturer and purchaser sites (acceptance, commissioning, validation).
• Coordinate logistics related to testing and support metrology tasks.
• Manage non‑conformity during design, manufacturing and commissioning phases.
• Perform root cause analysis, initiate and verify remedial measures.
• Collaborate with development teams to analyze requirements, design measurement means, evaluate uncertainty.
• Evaluate and cascade geometric and dimensional tolerances.
• Provide production support for measurement and tolerancing issues, resolve non‑conformities.
• Provide reporting on all assigned projects.
• Operate all applicable process steps in  and  Airbus processes.

• Propose process improvements, resolve non‑conformances, contribute to risk analysis.
• Lead special projects assigned by manager.
• Support day‑to‑day FAL activities, coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Oversee root cause analysis investigations, audit report/documentation.
• Support other departments as needed.
• Act as technical expert for tender processes, subcontract specifications.
• Provide technical and subcontracting advice to program managers, engineering, finance, quality and contract administration.
• Track, follow‑up and report on corrective action plans regarding service delivery.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field, or equivalent experience.

• 5+ years in quality assurance in a manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years implementing and utilizing measurement systems.
• Experience developing and managing quality requirements.
• Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical systems.
• Experience with tolerancing and metrology concepts.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, etc.).

• Preferred technical certifications (GD&T, Metrology, QA/QC, CAD).
• OSHA certifications preferred.

• Strong technical analysis of system/machine function, root cause analysis.
• Data analysis and presentation skills.
• Strong organization skills, ability to oversee multiple topics.
• Flexibility to shift priorities based on FAL needs.
• Capability to manage complex topics with many stakeholders.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Technical proficiency:
  Catia, coordinate metrology software, Microsoft/Google suite.
• Eligibility: US employment authorization.
• Travel: travel independently, short notice.

• Vision, hearing, speaking – able to read, hear, speak for meetings and conversations.
• Operating office equipment, production tools up to 30 lb (14 kg).
• Carrying, lifting, pushing/pulling small office furniture.
• Standing, sitting, squatting/kneeling – able to perform as required.
• Walking through uneven surfaces.
