PDS Tech Commercial is partnering with a global leader in the aerospace industry to hire a skilled Retrofit Solutions Engineer to support post‑delivery aircraft modification programs. In this role, you will be responsible for developing modification design data packages used to integrate aircraft upgrades and retrofit solutions into in‑service aircraft. You’ll collaborate closely with systems engineers, production teams, and service bulletin authors to ensure modifications are delivered accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with certification requirements.
What You’ll Do Aircraft Modification & Retrofit EngineeringDevelop and deliver Modification Proposal Technical Repercussion Sheets (MP/TRS) including pre‑ and post‑modification sketches
Retrieve, create, update, and verify aircraft drawings using Airbus engineering toolsets
Build certification dossiers for Modification Approval Sheets (MAS)
Develop tailored design data packages supporting aircraft retrofit and modification programs
Prepare technical documentation and component lists required for Service Bulletin development
Ensure all engineering deliverables meet certification and airworthiness requirements
Communicate regularly with Systems Engineers and Production Managers to ensure quality and on‑time project execution
Serve as the liaison between engineering teams and Service Bulletin authoring teams
Ensure technical requirements and engineering intent are clearly understood and implemented
Provide remote or onsite technical assistance during working parties and modification activities
Respond to customer technical inquiries related to Service Bulletins and retrofit solutions
Ensure the quality and accuracy of drafted Service Bulletins through detailed technical cross‑checks
Support concurrent engineering reviews and certification coordination
Maintain organized engineering documentation and modification records
Contribute to efficient project execution within fast‑paced aerospace environments
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Engineering or related field
1 year of engineering experience in a related field
Technical understanding of aircraft cabin and avionics systems modifications
Strong communication, coordination, and organizational skills
Ability to interpret complex aircraft technical documentation and engineering topics
Excellent collaboration and relationship‑building skills across diverse teams
Ability to work effectively in dynamic, fast‑paced engineering environments
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables
Experience supporting aircraft retrofit or modification programs
Familiarity with Service Bulletin development and certification documentation
Exposure to Airbus engineering tools and technical documentation systems
Experience collaborating with production, systems engineering, or certification teams
Physical Requirements
100% onsite role
Ability to work extensively on computers and engineering systems daily
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, reports, and technical documentation
Ability to stand, walk, and participate in production floor discussions as needed
Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs occasionally
Ability to travel independently and on short notice when required
Required PPE may include safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and protective gloves as required by the site
