Responsibilities- Evaluate and troubleshoot avionics engineering queries and provide solutions for testing and repairing electronic systems and components in a safe and professional manner.
- Make engineering decisions under pressure and tight deadlines regarding installation, troubleshooting, and discrepancy resolution.
- Analyze technical data and propose troubleshooting steps to resolve issues, including electrical continuity checks, operational tests, and acceptance tests according to manufacturer installation instructions.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, system schematics, and aircraft manuals for troubleshooting duties.
- Engineered troubleshooting and repair of harnesses for all aircraft systems including Flight Management Systems (FMS), Satcom and Airborne Radio Telephone Systems, EGPWS/TAWS, communications, navigation, radar, TCAS/XPDR, DME, autopilot/flight director, audio, ADF, Cabin Management/In‑flight Entertainment (IFE), and other sophisticated avionics and electronics systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience dealing with aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and problem solving in the aircraft manufacturing industry.
- 3 years of experience with CATIA and Enovia.
- 3 years of experience assembling, installing, terminating, and testing wire harnesses to schematic specifications.
- 3 years of experience with engineering design specifications and functional test procedures.
- 3 years of experience reading and interpreting wiring diagrams, system schematics, and utilizing aircraft manuals.
- 3 years of experience with engineering documentation and drawings for accuracy and applicability.
- 3 years of experience working with interface systems (Avionics and Environmental Control Systems), EMI (Electro‑Magnetic Interference), and EWIS (Electrical Wiring and Interconnection Systems).
- Experience creating, maintaining, and tracing EWIS requirement documents throughout the product lifecycle.
- Experience developing and continuously improving system‑level EWIS designs, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Experience designing, building, and testing rapid prototypes with attention to detail and manufacturability.
- Experience supporting and maintaining all certification‑related documentation including DOA/DO A, AC25.170110, AMC
2023, and ARP
4754.
