Job Overview
Airbus is seeking an experienced Ground Test Engineer to join the Production Flight Test team in Mobile, Alabama. The role involves executing ground production and acceptance tests, supporting pilots during Rejected Takeoff (RTO) procedures, performing in‑flight cabin functional checks, serving as Cabin Safety Crew during Customer Acceptance Flights, special missions, and demonstration flights, and conducting Static Tests, APU Runs, Engine Runs, and Taxi operations on A320 and A220 aircraft.
Responsibilities- Execute ground production and acceptance tests.
- Prepare for and support pilots during RTO procedures and perform in‑flight cabin functional checks.
- Act as Cabin Safety Crew during Customer Acceptance Flights, special missions, and demonstration flights.
- Conduct Static Tests, APU Runs, Engine Runs, and Taxi operations on A320 and A220 aircraft.
- Manage a diverse portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring delivery of retrofit solutions and scheduled maintenance services meets cost, timeline, and quality benchmarks.
- Oversee the lifecycle of customer queries, dispatching requests, initiating technical approvals, and escalating risks or blocked queries to ensure timely resolutions.
- Provide technical expertise to cross‑functional teams across international sites and direct on‑site assistance for airline partners.
- Assess aircraft status on deviations from standard maintenance procedures and define recovery actions to restore airworthiness.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and lead monthly quality reviews, collaborating with the quality department to improve technical responses.
- Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in an aeronautical company technical department.
- Experience with various ATA chapter FAA or Type Certificate (TC) or EASA requirements.
- Medical Class 2 experience on Airbus A320 or A22, familiarity with A220 and A320 systems including avionics, cabin systems, and powerplants.
- Valid EASA, TCCA, or FAA Class 2 Medical and ability to perform duties as aircrew on a daily basis.
- Strong computer background including MS Excel and Google Suite application experience.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and organization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment, mentor principles within assigned discipline, and interpret extensive technical aircraft topics.
- Authorized to work in the US.

Onsite 100% required. Must be able to see, hear, speak, and operate personal electronic equipment. Must be able to handle tasks such as carrying up to 30lbs (14kg), lifting, pushing/pulling small office furniture, sit or stand for extended periods, travel independently on short notice, and walk through uneven surfaces.
