Position Summary: Responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on Aircraft Avionics and Electrical systems.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation.
- Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, final inspections during aircraft manufacture for compliance with design specifications, customers and certification requirements.
- Document the technical inspections performed in the multiple production orders SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems by inspection marks and complete other aircraft documents as well as prepare first article inspection reports.
- Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs) and participate in Quality Survey requests.
- Compile all technical data of non-conformance in order to launch the NCMS-based quality discrepancy sheets for the professional assessment in accordance with the manufacturing engineering documentation.
- Document all the results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP based IT system.
- Attain skills to perform audits of Non-Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence.
- Track and maintain components during the Non Conformance process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization is preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on Avionics and Electrical systems.
- Previous experience in a Avionics role is highly desirable.
- Airline experience is desirable.
- A&P License (preferred).
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
- Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line.
- Handling and use of inspection tools of the length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills. Specifically, in English which is required operating in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.

- Involved communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties.
- Onsite or remote: 100% onsite
- Vision, hearing, speaking: adequate to perform duties and communicate in various settings
- Equipment Operation: able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms
- Carries, lifts, pushes/pulls: capable of lifting up to 30 lbs, occasional carrying up to 20 lbs
- Postures: sitting, standing, squatting or kneeling as needed; able to travel domestically and internationally
- Working in heights and confined spaces with respirator when required
