Responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on Aircraft Avionics and Electrical systems.

• Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation.
• Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture to ensure compliance with design specifications, customer and certification requirements.
• Document the technical inspections performed in multiple production orders using SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems, including inspection marks and other aircraft documents.
• Prepare first article inspection reports.
• Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs), and participate in Quality Survey requests.
• Compile all technical data of non‑conformance to launch NCMS‑based quality discrepancy sheets for professional assessment in accordance with manufacturing engineering documentation.
• Document all results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP‑based IT system.
• Perform audits of Non‑Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB).
• Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence.
• Track and maintain components during the Non‑Conformance process.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education:
  
  High school diploma or GED.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization is preferred.
• 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on Avionics and Electrical systems. Previous experience in an Avionics role is highly desirable. Airline experience is desirable.
• A&P License (preferred).
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line.
• Proficiency in handling and using inspection tools and length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, required for operating in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.

• Carrying: occasionally carry up to 20 lbs / 9 kg while engaging in training or addressing production issues.
• Lifting: occasionally lift up to 30 lbs / 14 kg.
• Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.
• Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
• Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelves.
• Standing: able to stand for extended periods delivering information.
• Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically.
• Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven surfaces.
• Space Limitations: working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Ability to work in confined spaces & with respirator.
