Responsible for the execution and confirmation of quality inspections as part of the production process with an emphasis on Aircraft Avionics and Electrical systems.
Primary Responsibilities- Execute technical inspections in the production process of the aircraft in the context of the authorization of manufacturer operation.
- Prepare and perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture to ensure compliance with design specifications, customer and certification requirements.
- Document the technical inspections performed in multiple production orders using SAP-based and the relevant SAL-based IT systems, including inspection marks and other aircraft documents.
- Prepare first article inspection reports.
- Support troubleshooting, Functional Test Procedures (FTPs), and participate in Quality Survey requests.
- Compile all technical data of non‑conformance to launch NCMS‑based quality discrepancy sheets for professional assessment in accordance with manufacturing engineering documentation.
- Document all results of the technical inspector in the FLEXNET/NCMS/SAP‑based IT system.
- Perform audits of Non‑Conformance Rework Orders as part of the Material Review Board (MRB).
- Perform audits/reviews of workbooks to validate PV approval and process adherence.
- Track and maintain components during the Non‑Conformance process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education:
High school diploma or GED. - FAA Airframe & Powerplant License including inspection authorization is preferred.
- 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company with an emphasis on Avionics and Electrical systems. Previous experience in an Avionics role is highly desirable. Airline experience is desirable.
- A&P License (preferred).
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
- Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line.
- Proficiency in handling and using inspection tools and length measuring techniques (mechanical, optical, electrical).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills in English, required for operating in a multicultural and multifunctional environment.

- Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens.
- Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings.
- Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size.
- Equipment Operation: able to operate a wide range of tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and arms.
- Carrying: occasionally carry up to 20 lbs / 9 kg while engaging in training or addressing production issues.
- Lifting: occasionally lift up to 30 lbs / 14 kg.
- Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items in office areas and on the shop floor.
- Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at the computer and in meetings.
- Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items on low shelves.
- Standing: able to stand for extended periods delivering information.
- Travel/Mobility: able to travel overseas and domestically.
- Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven surfaces.
- Space Limitations: working on jigs at the fuselage at a height of 15 feet. Ability to work in confined spaces & with respirator.
