This role offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on manufacturing performance, equipment reliability, and long-term capital planning while developing leadership capabilities and business acumen.
You will play a key role in both internal and external engineering projects, including collaboration with third-party EPC firms, and support bid and proposal activities. This position requires strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and the ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Lead efforts to identify manufacturing equipment issues and develop upgrade or replacement strategies
* Specify equipment purchases or lead design projects with internal teams or external EPC contractors
* Design and evaluate complex engineering solutions, ensuring safety, performance, and cost optimization
* Perform engineering stress calculations and prepare technical reports to support project proposals
* Address manufacturability challenges and recommend alternative engineering designs
* Develop and execute test procedures to assess equipment capabilities and define future requirements
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, management, and external clients
* Train and mentor team members on engineering practices, codes, and technical standards
* Provide quality oversight by reviewing, editing, and refining technical reports and deliverables
* Actively support bid and proposal processes with technical expertise and input
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related field required)
* 5-7 years of relevant technical experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
* Strong knowledge of engineering design, equipment specification, and stress calculations
* Experience with manufacturing processes and equipment evaluation
* Ability to train and mentor others in engineering methodologies and standards
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
* Ability to influence and communicate complex technical concepts clearly
* Experience interacting with operators, management, and external stakeholders
* Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US without sponsorship
