Duties & Responsibilities
IN this role you will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
- Implement manufacturing processes, procedures and equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling.
- Utilize computer aided manufacturing software to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement.
- Create and analyze 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions.
- Leverage understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence.
- Investigate and initiate corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence.
- Integrate reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement.
- Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline OR an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Experience creating/using Manufacturing Work Instructions / Standard Operating Procedure or similar.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and/or electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications.
- Ability to work on‑site in Huntsville and Courtland, Alabama.
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related STEM field.
- Previous experience with manufacturing engineering in a production environment or similar.
- Experience with manufacturing bill of materials, creation, edit, and/or maintenance.
- Experience creating Manufacturing Bill of Materials.
- Knowledge of manufacturing principles and production line setup, launch and/or development.
- Experience Supporting Government Customers.
- Familiarity with Lockheed Martin Space or similar industry manufacturing processes.
- Ability to use CAD software.
This position requires a government security clearance; must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a secret clearance. Clearance Level: Secret.
