Job Description

Airbus Americas, Inc is looking for a A320 Flight line Quality Avionic Inspector (Rotating Shifts) to join our team based in Mobile, AL.

You will be responsible for the planning, execution and verification of the Quality activities in the Flight line phase, starting from the milestone FOT in the FAL to the final delivery to the customer. This includes the demonstration of aircraft system integrity, conformity with design specifications, and verification of Ground Test Instructions (GTI).

Your Challenges L3 Flight line Quality Avionic Inspector 50 %
  • Release the aircraft for all ground and flight operations (Engine Run-up Inspections, Pre and Post flight checks under EASA Part 21G and after the transfer of title under FAA 14 CFR Part 145).
  • Conduct comprehensive aircraft testing, evaluate results, and document tests and discrepancies within the Airbus Log Book (ALB).
  • Execute quality inspections of standard and non-standard aircraft production and maintenance activities, including all associated documentation.
  • Provide technical support and execute troubleshooting (T/S) for aircraft avionic systems.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and serve as the liaison for resolving technical issues with Engineering, customers, and suppliers.
  • Ensure and certify aircraft conformity, possessing final signature authorization as a Quality Inspector.
FAL-GTE (Final Assembly Line
- Ground Test Engineer) 40 %
  • Under delegation from the Flight Test Department (IVR), conduct aircraft ground checks subsequent to the FOT milestone. Prepare the aircraft and test environment for system-wide ground tests. Document non-conformities in the Airbus Log Book (ALB) and initiate a Repeat Test Instruction (RTI) following completion of rework. This qualification requires extensive training and will commence after achieving the Inspector qualification.
