CAD Designer

CAM Industrial Solutions is a privately held industrial services company operating in Canada and the United States.

We are seeking a safety conscious team player who is willing to work in a collaborative environment and is enthusiastic about continuous improvement.

The CAD Designer is responsible for creating technical drawings and plans using computer-aided design (CAD) software. The role works closely with engineers, operations, and project managers to ensure accurate and high-quality designs that meet project specifications and standards.

• Create 2D drawings using CAD software (AutoCAD and Micro Station).
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and sketches to produce detailed drawings.
• Collaborate with engineers and operations to revise and update drawings as needed.
• Ensure all designs comply with company standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
• Maintain drawing records, documentation, and version control.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support project goals and deadlines.

• 5 applicable years of experience in CAD design.
• Demonstrated CAD ability, aptitude, initiative, self-direction and strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word, and Excel.
• Experience and knowledge of environmental, safety, and health guidelines, policies, and procedures as they relate to regulatory compliance.
• Good leadership, organizational, and facilitation skills.
• Experience working in an on-site work environment.
• Ability to use computers and CAD software for extended periods.
