This is technical field inspection work which involves performing skilled tasks in the office and laboratory.
Wages- Mobile Area Water and Sewer System: $42,507 - $67,953
- Prichard Water Works and Sewer Board: $39,471 - $63,101
Graduation from a standard senior high school, or the successful completion of the General Educational Development (GED) test, and a minimum of one year experience in a wastewater treatment plant or laboratory; or a combination of education and experience equivalent to these requirements.
Special RequirementsMust possess a valid driver's license from state of residence.
Mobile Area Water and Sewer System – requires a Grade 1C Wastewater Certificate from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management to be obtained within 1 year.
The Water Works and Sewer Board of the City of Prichard – must possess a Grade 1C Wastewater Certificate from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management.
Eligibility and Medical RequirementsEligible candidates must meet the established medical and physical standards for the class of work. The medical examination must be by one of the physicians designated by the Personnel Board. Appointees must bear the cost of the examination.
