Job Summary

Airbus Americas Customer Service is looking for a Working Party Aircraft Structure Expert to join our Working Party Resources department based in Mobile, AL. The role supports the Customer Services and Support function and performs on‑aircraft complex repair and modification projects on all Airbus fleet worldwide within the sheet metal and structural standard processes for airlines and maintenance repair organizations (MRO) outside their operating scope of work.

Responsibilities
  • Perform on‑aircraft major and complex structural repair projects on all Airbus fleet within sheet metal and structural standard processes for airlines and MRO through Working Parties (e.g., skin panels replacement, complex sheet metal repair layouts on seat tracks, floor beams and skin doublers, wing spar and keel beam repairs, fabrication of clips, doublers, angles and brackets, corrosion removal, damage evaluation, identification of damage limits and repairs, and working knowledge of Roto‑Peen and cold working procedures).
  • Implement and accomplish Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), Work Order Technical Definitions (WOTDs), All Operators Telex (AOT), Airbus Procedures (APs), Repair Instructions (RIs), Technical Adaptations (TAs) and Technical Dispositions (TDs). This activity represents 20% of the role.
  • Provide on‑site technical assistance (advisory) for scheduled or unscheduled (AOG) maintenance/repair activities, supporting and guiding customers to leverage Airbus’s expertise on all variants and legacy aircraft. This activity accounts for 10% of the role.
  • Perform composite skillset tasks, including structural repairs and modifications.
  • Support all Airbus programs and Final Assembly Line activities in Mobile, AL when not on a Working Party assignment.
  • Contribute to the development of Working Party activities and the growth of the U.S. Fleet & Engineering organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant Certificate and/or EASA Part 66 B1 preferred.
  • Training on the Airbus aircraft family or equivalent experience.
  • Additional experience on A300/A310.
  • Minimum 5 years of aviation repair experience in a PART 145 (MRO) environment under FAA/EASA/TCCA regulations.
  • Solid experience in structure repair.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with teams and business partners worldwide.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with multidisciplinary teams in various locations.
  • Knowledge of Airbus manuals available in Airn@vX (AMM, IPC, SRM, TSM, etc.).
Physical Requirements
  • Onsite in Mobile, AL with ability to travel 90% of the time.
  • Vision: able to read computer screens, documents, reports and engineering drawings.
  • Hearing: able to participate in conversations and hear safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in meetings and deliver information.
  • Equipment operation: use of PC, telephone, copier, fax and related office equipment.
  • Personal protective equipment: safety shoes, glasses, hearing protection, respirators/masks, and/or protective gloves as required by site or customer site.
  • Carrying: lift up to 30 lbs (14 kg) of documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment.
  • Lifting, pushing, pulling: moves small office furniture and tools.
  • Sitting, standing, squatting or kneeling: required for work duration.
  • Walking: through office and production areas, including uneven surfaces.
