Cabin Engineer III
The Cabin Engineer III applies thorough technical principles, theories, and concepts within cabin engineering to solve a wide range of complex problems. Operating under general direction, this role independently determines approaches to solutions, guides routine-to-moderate engineering challenges, and represents the organization in technical discussions with internal teams and external stakeholders.

The Engineering Center in Mobile, Alabama houses hundreds of Airbus engineers who assist in the design and development of Airbus commercial aircraft cabins, including aftermarket upgrades, reconfigurations and services of all product types across the globe.

- Technical Mastery:
Demonstrate complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in cabin engineering, as well as general knowledge of related disciplines. - Complex Problem Solving:
Develop imaginative, thorough, practicable technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. - Technical Signatory:
Maintain the capability and progress toward obtaining Approve technical signatory authority for engineering deliverables. - Documentation & Delivery:
Independently create, review, and deliver high-quality technical documents and presentations without requiring direct guidance. - Independent Approach:
Operate under general direction to independently determine and develop technical approaches to projects and solutions. - Program Contributions:
Contributes directly to the successful completion of specific engineering programs and major projects. - Commitment Execution:
Regularly meet high-level project commitments and deadlines across both internal and external teams. - Risk & Impact Awareness:
Exercise sound judgment and technical rigor, recognizing that errors may result in serious program delays and considerable expenditures of resources. - Guidance & Mentorship:
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on routine to moderately complex engineering problems. - Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Interact frequently with internal departments, external staff, suppliers, and customers on critical engineering items. - Technical Representation:
Represent the organization effectively in resolving technical issues and communicating solutions, status, and ideas across all stakeholder levels. - Process Automation & Scripting:
Apply technical proficiency in Python (including libraries like Pandas) to automate complex engineering workflows, data analysis, and report generation. - Workflow Optimization:
Leverage Google Workspace tools (including Apps Script) and AI tools (such as Google Gemini) to streamline project management, technical research, and team productivity. - Data Extraction:
Utilize web automation tools (e.g., Selenium) to extract and process technical data from internal databases and supplier portals.
Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Engineering (Aero, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical)
- 6+ years in aircraft cabin interior design, stress/integration analysis, and certification.
- Authorized to Work in the US
- Candidates must have strong proficiency using Google G Suite.
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn and be proactive working with teams.
- Demonstrate flexibility regarding the changing working environment.
- Must have the ability to write reports, specifications, work statements, requirements and other technical documents.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detailed-oriented with excellent proof-reading and writing skills
- Effective communication skills in English
- Must be able to present information and answer questions related to produced documentation.
- Provides a clear communication link between vendors and the engineering team.
- Communicate frequently with other departments internally, externally and internationally.
- CAD experience is essential with Catia V5. Strong capability in MS Office/Google Products. Ability to learn new tool sets as required.
- Ability to independently develop, communicate and recommend changes to processes and procedures.
- Ability to direct and facilitate Problem Solving activities and track progress to completion.
- Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Signatory Status:
Ability to qualify for and achieve Approve technical signatory status within the designated timeframe. - Technical
